When life was tolerable, pre-internet. I love the Doors. You cant put them in any one genre, they truly experimented and pushed limits. The darkness is what caught my attention. and I was in love. Amanfuckyou. The doors of deception could not be more appropriate, little did Ray realize that Jim took it from deception to complete betrayal. It is a sad indictment that shared creative minds confuse themselves. Ray was on a creative path in his response, to the adoration of the many fans that followed their performances and enjoyed their music, whilst Jim became destructive. Just got back home right now, one of the greatest musical nights i have ever witnessed, just a magical night. Although i do wish that Ian Astbury, Dave Brock & Perry Farrell were there. But all in all, it was an incredible night. Ray would have been very proud of his tribute. It got filmed too, hopefully it will be released on DVD soon.
